5.4 H.323 Gatekeeper Properties
In the 5700 VFA system Properties dialog box, click the H.323 Gatekeeper icon to
access the following property pages:
q Zone Settings
q Advanced Settings
Zone Settings
In the Zone Settings tab, define the method of search that the 5700 VFA uses when
a registered 5700 VFA node dials a party in a different zone (neighbor node).
5700 VFA (MXM) Gatekeeper Zone Settings
Search Policy
If a dialed address is not found, the 5700 VFA will continue (or not) to
search for that address according to one of the following policies:
Don’t search in
other zones
The 5700 VFA will reject the call without searching in
other zones.
Send Multicast
Location
Requests
The 5700 VFA sends out identical search requests
throughout the connected network(s). The call is
connected to the first zone that sends a positive response
(party found) to the 5700 VFA.
